Erisa Flsa and Fmla Litigation
New York Employment Law Attorneys
The Law Offices of Vincent E. Bauer regularly represent clients in ERISA, FLSA, and FMLA litigation. These acronyms refer to three of the main federal statutes in the employment law area:
- The Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) – a federal law that sets uniform minimum standards for health plans and pension plans established by private employers
- The Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (FLSA), which establishes federal standards for workers regarding minimum wage, overtime pay, record-keeping and child labor
- The Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) – a federal statute, pursuant to which qualified employees are entitled to take up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave during any 12-month period for certain specified reasons
We are fully familiar with the provisions of ERISA, FLSA, and FMLA, as well as other applicable federal, state, and local statutes, and have successfully represented clients in numerous lawsuits and administrative proceedings.
